  17. When you join a domain whose domain controller uses a different
  18. language, the spelling of your administrator account changes. For
  19. example: If you have a French domain controller, the default
  20. administrator account is spelled "administrateur." If you join this
  21. domain from a Spanish backup domain controller as an administrator,
  22. you will not be able to use the Spanish spelling, "administrador."

  24. CAUSE

  27. When a backup domain controller joins a domain, it receives a copy of
  28. the security accounts manager (SAM) database from the domain
  29. controller. This includes the spelling of the administrator account.
  30.  
  31. WORKAROUND
  32. ==========
  33.  
  34. There are two ways you can work around this behavior. You can create
  35. administrative accounts on the domain for all the different spellings
  36. of administrator. Or, you can add the necessary user accounts to the
  37. domain Administrators group and not worry about the spelling of
  38. administrator.
